Home
Irving Interfaith Clinic is the only charity medical and dental clinic in Irving, and opened in 2006. We provide medical and dental services to uninsured residents of the Irving community, qualifying all patients on income level, and medical patients on the severity of illness.
Our vision is to represent God’s mercy by improving the overall healthcare of the marginalized residents of Irving through quality medical care and by preventing disease through education. We endeavor to serve each individual with love and patience, seeing God in each of them.
Our History
Irving Interfaith Clinic began in January of 2006 with the help of parishioners from St. Luke Catholic Church who saw the need for a charity medical clinic in Irving. Staffed by volunteer physicians, dentists and nurses, the clinic saw 175 patients in the first year, one evening a week and on Saturdays. Each year, the number of patient visits increased, requiring the clinic to move to larger facilities in 2007.
Today
The need for access to medical care within the community continues to grow. Currently, almost a third of the residents of Irving are without health insurance. Baylor Medical Center at Irving and the Irving Hospital Authority identified that need and stepped forward to help.
The clinic is now located in the Coppertree Medical Building, adjacent to Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Since the beginning, the Board of the Irving Interfaith Clinic prayed to find a way to keep the clinic open during the day, 40 hours a week. We are grateful to report that this prayer was answered in 2011 — we now have a full-time primary care provider in addition to our volunteer physicians and dentists.
Our Funding
Irving Interfaith Clinic is fully funded by gifts from the community through the Irving Healthcare Foundation.
